How to earn trust and avoid distrust in the public service

So excited and honoured to be invited to run a workshop on 22nd July BST at 3-4pm with the fantastic award-winning team at Apolitical.

Here is the vid of the event, a great and challenging Q&A!

For those who don't know them, they are a great resource for public servants. Love their supportive approach:

"Government is critical to solving global challenges. Whether we like or dislike government, love it or despair of it, most of us can agree that government plays a critical role in solving our hardest challenges — from the climate and refugee crises to the strain of urbanisation, the need for better cybersecurity, and the urgency of adapting to a world where an algorithm is chasing your job.

"But public servants lack access to the best skills and solutions
Around the world, the people working in government are tackling similar problems. But with public servants disconnected from each other and from the latest and best ideas and skills, many good ideas remain confined to a country, city, or sometimes even a department. This leads to duplication of effort, wasted taxpayer money, and poorer services.

"Apolitical brings to government the sharing and ongoing learning we take for granted in other sectors, making it inspiring and easy to find the latest and best ideas and skills, grounded in the experience of peers."
